CHAPTER 427
(House Bill 1201)

AN ACT to add new Section 82(b-l) to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Elections," subtitle
"Party Governing Bodies," to follow immediately after Section
82(b) thereof, to fix the districts in Anne Arundel County AND
BALTIMORE COUNTY from which members of the party State
central committees for the county SAID COUNTIES are elected
and to fix the number of committeemen elected from each of such
districts.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 82(b-l) be and it is hereby added to Article 33 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Elections,"
subtitle "Party Governing Bodies," to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 82(b) thereof, and to read as follows:

82.

(b-1) In Anne Arundel County, four members of the party State
central committees for the county shall be elected from each of the
three Senatorial and Delegate subdistricts into which the county is
divided by the provisions of Sections 46 and 47 of Article 40 of this
Code, as amended from time to time.
IN BALTIMORE COUNTY
MEMBERS OF THE PARTY STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE
SHALL BE ELECTED FROM THE SENATORIAL AND DELE-
GATE SUBDISTRICTS AND SHALL NOT RUN AT LARGE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 428
(House Bill 26)

AN ACT to propose an amendment to Section 1 of Article VI of the
Constitution of Maryland, title "Treasury Department," to provide
that the salary of the State Treasurer is fixed by the General
Assembly by law, and providing for the submission of this amend-
ment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their
adoption or rejection.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
(three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two houses
concurring), That the following section be and the same is hereby
proposed as an amendment to Section 1 of Article VI of the Consti-
tution of Maryland, title "Treasury Department," the same, if
adopted by the legally qualified voters of the State, as herein pro-
vided, to become a part of the Constitution of Maryland.
