An Act to enact Section 102A of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition) being Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "E. Sheldon Jones
Baseball League, Inc.", authorizing an appropriation of Five Hun-
dred Dollars ($500.00) to the E. Sheldon Jones Baseball League, Inc.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
WICOMICO COUNTY, MARYLAND, that Section 102A of Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Wicomico County (1965 Edition) being
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "E. Sheldon
Jones Baseball League, Inc.," be enacted, to be known as Section 102A and
to read as follows:
Section 102A. E. Sheldon Jones Baseball League, Inc.
The County Council of Wicomico County, Maryland, is hereby au-
thorized and directed to levy the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)
and appropriate the same to the E. Sheldon Jones Baseball League, Inc.
to be used by said organization for the purposes of organizing a summer
baseball league.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that this Act, having
been passed by the County Council of Wicomico County at its Legislative
Session of October, 1968, shall take effect December 1, 1968, unless a
proper petition for referendum thereof shall be validly filed prior to said
date, in which event this Act shall not take effect until the expiration
of thirty (30) days following approval of this Act by a majority of the
qualified voters of the County voting in any such referendum.
