SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 16-302(c), 16-401(c) and
16—701(a) of Article — Commercial Law, of the Annotated

Code of Maryland (As enacted by Chapter ___ (HB 26) of

the Acts of the General Assembly of 1975) be and they are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

16-302.

(c)         The artisan shall give 30 days notice of the

sale to the owner by mailing the notice to the owner at
his last known address. If the owner's address is
unknown, the notice may be given by:

(1)        Posting it on the door of the courthouse
OR ON A BULLETIN BOARD IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF THE
DOOR OF THE COURTHOUSE of the county in which the work
was done; or

(2)           Publishing it once a week for two
successive weeks in one or more newspapers of general
circulation in the county in which the work was done.

16-401.

(c) (1) The lienor shall publish notice of the
sale once a week for two successive weeks in one or more
newspapers of general circulation in the county where the
livestock is located.
