       them to such Person or Persons or for such Term or Terms or Number of Years and under
       such Yearly and other Rents as he the said Robert Peter shall think fitt or to sell grant or
       convey the same in Fee Simple or for such other Estate as he the said Robert Peter shall
       think fitt for such price ^or sum^ or Sums of Money or Tobacco or other Valuable Consideration as
       to such person or persons as he the said Robert Peter shall Judge Expedient and
       for me and in my Name to Seal Deliver make and Execute such Deed Deeds
       Assurance Assurances or Conveyances for the sale and disposal thereof or any part
       thereof with Clauses Covenants Provisions Conditions and Agreements therein to be
       Contained as the said Robert Peter shall think proper and also in my Name to
       Assign Transfer make over release and Extinguish all Right Title and Demand
       which I now have or may or shall hereafter have in any Lands in the said Province of
       Maryland or other of the British Dominions in North America by or in Virtue of
       any Mortgage Judgment or degree already passed or which may be hereafter passed
       hereby ratifying allowing and confirming all such Leases Demises Deeds Assurances
       Conveyances Covenants Provisions Agreements Assignments and Releases which
       shall at any time hereafter be made acknowledged Sealed Delivered and executed
       by him the said Robert Peter touching or concerning the Premises and Attorneys
       one or more under him for the Purposes aforesaid to make and at his Pleasure to
       revoke hereby ratifying allowing and confirming whatsoever my said Attorney and
       his Substitute or Substitutes shall do Execute or perform or cause to be done They
       always being oblidged justly to Account with and pay to me my Heirs and Successors
       the Neat Sum or Sums of Money or Tobacco received by them in consequence and
       by Virtue hereof after Deducting necessary expences  In Witness whereof I have hereunto
       affixed my name and Seal this sixth day of September in the Year of our Lord one
       Thousand seven Hundred and sixty nine

       At the foot of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was the following Certificate Viz.t

       To all to whom these Presents shall come I James Buchanan of Drumpellier Esquire
       Lord Provost or Chief Majestrate of the City of Glasgow in Pursuance of an Act of
       Parliament made and passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of our ^late^ Sovereign Lord
       King George the Second entitled an Act for the more easy recovery of Debts in his
       Majesties Plantations & Colony's in America Do hereby Certify that on the Day of the
       Date hereof personally came and appeared before me Archibald Henderson and John
       Campbell jun.r two of the Subscribing Witneses to the Power of Attorney above Written
       being persons well known and worthy of good Credit and by Solemn Oath which
       they the said Archibald Henderson and John Campbell Jun.r then took before me
       on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God did Solemnly and sincerely declare testifie
       and Depose that the said Deponents were present and did see John Glassford
       Sign Seal and Execute as his proper Act and Deed the Power of Attorney above
       Written and that the Name John Glassford thereto set as the Partie Executing and
       the Names Archibald Henderson and John Campbell jun.r thereto set as Witnesses
