        In the name of God Amen this fourth day of October. one —
   thousand Seven hundred Seventy and Seven I Michael Strong of Kent
   County in the province of Maryland being weak in Body but of
   perfect sound disposing mind and memory, And for what worldly
   Goods and Estate the Lord and giver of Life hath been pleased to
   Bess me with in this Transitory world, I do dispose of it. in —
   maner and form following Viz ——
  1.t   I commend my Soul to Almighty God that gave it me. and my —
   Body to be buryed in a Christian like mañer at the discression
   of my Executors hereafter mentioned —
  2.dly I will and desire that all my Just and Lawfull Debts be duly
     paid and Satisfied —
  3.dly I give and bequeath to my well beloved Son William Strong. —
    my now dwelling plantation and all the Land thereunto belonging
    to him and his Heirs forever, But if my son William should die —
    without Lawfull Issue, then to my son Michael Strong to him and
    his Heirs forever, And if my son Michael Strong should never return
    Home to this Country afd, then my Will and desire is that my
    now dwelling plantation and Land afd shall be equally divided
    between my two youngest Daughters namely Rebecca, and
    Margaret to them and their Heirs forever . ——
  4.thly I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Daughter Rebeccah —
      one Negro Boy named Daniel as a Legacy to her & her heirs forever
  5thly. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Daughter Margaret
      one Negro Girl named Minte as a Legacy to her & her Heirs forever —
  6thly. My will and desire is after my Just and Lawfull Debts is paid
     and the Legacys taken out of my Estate that then the remainder
     part of my Estate should be equally divided amongst my nine
     Children or the Survivors o[f] them, namely, Thomas, Michael,
     Anne, Sarah, Jane, Rebeccah, Mary, Margaret and William —
  7thly. and Lastly I do appoint my well beloved Son William Strong
