MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of The Town of
Union Bridge adopted pursuant to the authority of Section 3
("Home Rule") of Article XI-E ("Municipal Corporations") of
the Constitution of Maryland and of Section 13, (under
subtitle "Home Rule") of Article 23A
("Corporations-Municipal") of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Replacement Volume, as amended) to amend the Charter
of the Town of Union Bridge (1976 Edition), by repealing
Section 20-57 "Tax Anticipation Borrowing" and reenacting a
new Section 20-57A "Tax Anticipation Borrowing" and new
Section 20-57B "Borrowing Power; General" to provide for
clarification of the borrowing power of The Town, repeal of
limitation of amount of tax anticipation borrowing, and to
establish the manner of issue and sale of bonds, including
private sale of such bonds.

Carroll County, repealed,

Section(s) 20-57A and 20-57B of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Carroll County, added.

Effective Date July 10, 1979]

A RESOLUTION OF THE BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS OF
WALKERSVILLE, A BODY CORPORATE AND POLITIC OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 27, 1978, AND INTRODUCED AT A
REGULAR MEETING OF THE BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS, TO PROVIDE
FOR THE ENLARGEMENT OF THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN
OF WALKERSVILLE BY EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
TOWN AND IN SO DOING TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT WITH AMENDMENTS
SECTION 829, OF ARTICLE II OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS
OF MARYLAND (1930 EDITION) TITLE "FREDERICK COUNTY",
SUB-TITLE "WALKERSVILLE", AS CONTAINED IN SECTION 28-2 OF
THE CODE OF FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND, 1959; PROVIDING AS
TO THE CONDITIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES APPLICABLE TO THE CHANGE
IN BOUNDARIES TO THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY WITHIN THE AREA
TO BE ANNEXED: FURTHER PROVIDING FOR NOTICE THEREOF AT A
PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD BY THE BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS,
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS RESOLUTION, IF ADOPTED, AND THE
REGISTRATION OF BOUNDARIES AS SET FORTH IN ARTICLE 23A OF
THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, 1957, AND THE 1977
CUMULATIVE SUPPLEMENT.
