RESOLUTION 86-2

Be it Resolved that the Town of Betterton acting pursuant to
the provisions of Art. 23A, Sec. 19 providing for the initiation
by the municipal corporation for annexation desires and intends
to annex into its municipal corporation an area of 39.133 acres
on the southerly edge and adjacent to its present municipal
limits.

Betterton, Kent County, as found in the compilation of Municipal
Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition).

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1-86

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE, MARYLAND
adopted pursuant to authority of Article HE of the Constitution
of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1985 Cumulative
Supplement) to amend the Charter of the City of Bowie (set forth
in Municipal Charters of Maryland, State Department of
Legislative Reference, 1983 Edition, as amended), by repealing
and re-enacting, with amendments, Section 58 of said Charter,
authorizing the Council of the City to determine by ordinance
various matters pertaining to the manner in which, and the terms
and conditions on which, bonds or notes of the City may be
issued, sold, delivered, secured, paid and redeemed, permitting
the sale of bonds or notes of the City at private negotiated sale
if so provided by the authorizing ordinance of the Council of the
City, prescribing certain requirements for the giving of notice
in connection with a public sale of bonds or notes of the City,
permitting the sale of bonds or notes of the City for a price or
prices at, above, or below the par value thereof, of the City,
permitting the issuance of bonds or notes of the City for either
cash or other valuable consideration, authorizing the City to
enter into agreements for the purpose of enhancing the
marketability of and as security for bonds or notes of the City,
and generally relating to the issuance and terms of bonds or
notes of the City.
