(iv) 2 shall be members of the House of
Delegates, selected by the Speaker of the House; and

(v) 2 shall be members of the Senate of
Maryland, selected by the President of the Senate.

(b) (1) The term of a member is 3 years.

(2)  The terms of the members are staggered as
required by the terms of the members of the Commission on [July
1, 1985] JULY 1, 1988.

(3)  At the end of a term, a member continues to serve
until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(4)  A member who is appointed after a term has begun
serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is
appointed and qualifies.

(C) (1) THE COMMISSION MAY APPOINT, FROM WITHIN OR WITHOUT
ITS MEMBERS, SUCH SUBCOMMITTEES AS THE COMMISSION DEEMS
APPROPRIATE TO CARRY OUT THE COMMISSION'S DUTIES UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE.

(2) THE SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBERS SHALL SERVE AT THE
PLEASURE OF THE COMMISSION.

From among its members, the Governor shall designate a
chairman and a vice chairman.

[10-705.] 4-405.

(a)  The Commission shall meet at the times and places that
it determines.

(b)  A member of the Commission OR A SUBCOMMITTEE OF THE
COMMISSION:

(1)  May not receive compensation; but

(2)  Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under
the STATE Standard [State] Travel Regulations, as provided in the
State budget.

(c)  The Department [of Economic and Employment Development]
shall provide a staff to the Commission as needed.
