SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 8-101 through 8-601, inclusive, and
9-101 through 9-1001, inclusive, 8-411, inclusive, 8-511, 8-601,
the subtitles "Subtitle 1. Definitions; General Provisions",
"Subtitle 2. Alcoholism Control Administration", "Subtitle 3.
Advisory Councils", "Subtitle 4. Plans, Programs, and
Facilities", and "Subtitle 6. Short Title", and the title "Title
8. Misuse of Alcohol", 9-101 through 9-401 9-404, inclusive, and
9-801 through 9-1001, inclusive, the subtitles "Subtitle 1.
Definitions; General Provisions", "Subtitle 2. Drug Abuse
Administration", "Subtitle 3. Advisory Councils", "Subtitle 4.
Drug Abuse Programs and Facilities", "Subtitle 7. Commitment of
Individual Charged with Crime", "Subtitle 8. Miscellaneous
Provisions", "Subtitle 9. Prohibited Act; Penalties", "Subtitle
10. Short Title", and the title "Title 9. Misuse of Drugs" of
Article - Health - General of the Annotated Code of Maryland be
repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS

(A)  IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(B)  "ADMINISTRATION" MEANS THE ADDICTIONS SERVICES ALCOHOL
AND DRUG ABUSE ADMINISTRATION.

(C) "ALCOHOL ABUSE" MEANS:

(1) MISUSE OR UNLAWFUL USE OF ALCOHOL;
