The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden John Richardson, appointed Collector of the direct tax for Dorchester County, shall well & faithfully execute the Office of Collector of the direct Tax for said County, and the several duties required of him by law, and shall well and truly account for and pay to the Treasurer of Maryland the several sums of Money which he shall receive or be answerable for by law, at such time as the law shall direct, then the above Obligation to be void, or else to be and remain in full force an virtue in law. State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond from 51 Ex.d was recorded on the 18.th day of June 1851, To wit: John Richardson & others {Stamp} Know all men by these presents that {50 cents} we John Richardson, John Tubman and Samuel R. Dunnock, of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Seven hundred and thirty four dollars and sixty five cents, current money of the United States, to be paid to the said State or its certain Attorney, to which payment well & truly to be made & done, we bind ourselves and each of us, our and each of our heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this Eighteenth day of June in the year of Our Lord on thousand eight hundred and fifty one. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden John Richardson, appointed Collector of Dorchester County, shall faithfully collect and pay the sum of Three hundred & sixty seven dollars and thirty three cents, current money of the United States, into the Treasury of the State of Maryland on or before the first day of July Eighteen hundred and fifty two, to and for the use of the State, then the above Obligation to be void, or else to be & remain in full force and virtue in law. |
