19.17.00.00 Payments for Circuit Court Operations
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$2,000,000 of this appropriation, made for
the purpose of supporting the Baltimore
City Circuit Court, may only be expended
for:

•    maintenance and renovation at the
Baltimore City Circuit Court buildings;

•    upgrading of the court's computer
capacity; and

•    pest control.

It is the intent of the General Assembly that
when expending this appropriation,
maintenance and renovations of the
buildings are of the highest priority;
upgrading the computer capacity is second
priority; and pest control is third priority.

Further, it is the intent of the General
Assembly that these funds are not to be
considered as part of a pilot program for
State assumption of the Baltimore City
Circuit Court or any other circuit courts in
the State.

Further provided that no funds may be
expended until the judiciary submits a
report on the proposed amount to be
expended in each of the categories above to
the budget committees for review and
comment or the passage of 45 days from the
date the report is received by the
