1992 LAWS OF MARYLAND

Chapter 356 of the Acts of 1988

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(3) The cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds shall be paid to the Treasurer and
first shall be applied to the payment of the expenses of issuing, selling, and delivering the
bonds, unless funds for this purpose are otherwise provided, and then shall be credited on
the books of the Comptroller and expended, on approval by the Board of Public Works,
for the following public purposes, including any applicable architects' and engineers' fees:

(I)     for a grant to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore for the purpose
of RENOVATING, REPAIRING, constructing, expanding, improving, and equipping
the Baltimore City Jail; OR

(II)    FOR USE BY THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
SAFETY AND CORRECTIONAL SERVICES:

1.       FOR RENOVATING, REPAIRING, IMPROVING,
CONSTRUCTING, EXPANDING, AND EQUIPPING THE BALTIMORE CITY
DETENTION CENTER; OR

2.       TO PROVIDE, ON THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC WORKS, A PORTION OF THE FUNDS FOR THE STATE
CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES CONTINGENCY FUND PURSUANT TO
CHAPTER 472 OF THE ACTS OF 1991.

Chapter 129 of the Acts of 1989

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
