the Justices of the peace of said County and State personally
appeared George W. Merson, William H. Harrison, George R
Shane and Humphrey C. Hill & Richard Harden and
acknowledged themselves each and severally to owe and stand
justly indebted to the State of Maryland in the sum of two
hundred and ten dollars to be made and levyed of thir
bodies goods and chattels lands and tenements respectively
for the use of the said State   Upon Condition nevertheless
that if the said George W. Merson shall indemnify the said
County and State from all charges that may arrise for
the maintaining of a female child illegitimately by him
begotten on the body of Cassander F. Jones of which she
was delivered on the 4.th day of December 1856 then this
recognizance to be void and of none effect other wise to be
and remain of full force and virtue in law
       Taken and acknowledged before me

          Rec.d to be recorded on the 14.th day of April 1857 same
day recorded & exam.d per

Know all men by these presents
that I John Reely this 31.st day of
March 1857 doth bargain & sell
unto James Reely one bay Mare
and red and white Cow one Sow and six Shoats allso my
household and kitchen furniture to secure unto him the said
James Reely the sum of one hundred and ninety dollars
which I am indebteed to the the ^said^ James Reely by note of
hand which I promis  to pay at the experation of one
year and leagal intrust thereon
       Witness my hand and seal this 31.st day of march 1857

    This 31.st day of March 1857   For myself my heirs
trustee or assigns should the fourgoing sails be nul and
void by the payment of the above named sum of money
then this sale to be of non  effect otherwise to be in full
force and law   Signed sealed and delivered to the presents
of
