and Wilber M.cNew the son and daughters of Joseph A. M.cNew of
the said County did give and deliver to the said Laura, Anne,
Florence and Wilber my negro boy George who will be seven
years of age in November next; I do now hereby ratify and
confirm the said gift and direct (as originally intended) that the
said boy George shall be held by Joseph A. M.cNew in trust
for the benefit profit and advantage of the said Laura, Anna,
Florence and Wilber or the survivors of them, until they all
shall arrive at lawful age.                     Witness my hand and
seal this twenty ninth day of August Eighteen hundred
and fifty seven

    I hereby certify that on this twenty ninth day of August in the

Know all men by these presents
that we William H Worthington, Seth
W. Warfield and George Bond of
Howard County in the State of Maryland
are held and firmly bound unto
the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of thirteen
thousand three hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three
and a third cents current money to be paid to the said State
of Maryland to the which payment well and truly to be made
and done we bind ourselves our and each of our heirs
executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by
these presents sealed with our seals and dated this twelfth
day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and fifty seven.      The Condition of the above
obligation is such that if the above bound William H.
Worthington whilst he shall continue in the office of the
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Howard County shall at his own
proper cost and charge find a supply of good and sufficient
record books necessary for the entering up of all matters
and things relating to such office or shall and will make
or cause to be made up of all matters and things relating to
