in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty
eight before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of
the state of Maryland in and for the County aforesaid
personally appeared Mordecai K. Smith the Mortgagee
named for the foregoing mortgage and made Oath in due
form of law that the consideration in said Mortgage
is true and bona fide as therein set forth

manumit and set free my negro
slave Mary Moore aged nine years
The twenty Second day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty
Eight her freedom to commence when she arrives at the age
of Eighteen years.  Witness my hand and seal this twenty Second
day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty eight
