of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight before
the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for said
County personally appeared William F King and acknowledged
the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed

Bill of Sale to
Carver Willis Trustee &c
Know all men by these presents that Whereas
Carver Willis Trustee of his mother Fanny B.
Willis has heretofore loaned to me William
B Willis out of the trust funds in the hands
of the said Carver Willis large sums of money to wit the sum
of nearly three thousand dollars and Whereas I William B
Willis am anxious to secure the payment of the same but unable
to do so only by the transfer of the property hereinafter
described ^which I have heretofore dedicated^ to that purpose.  (Which act of dedication it is the intention
of the instrument of writing to confirm) I the said William
B Willis in consideration of the premises and of the sum
of five dollars paid me by the said Carver Willis the receipt
of which I do hereby acknowledge do bargain and sell enfeoff
alien and transfer to the said Carver Willis Trustee as aforesaid
his executors and administrators first the following negroes viz
Lucy and Emily Slaves for life aged forty two thirty five
thirteen eleven nine and seven years respectively Secondly
all my household and Kitchen furniture one old wagon
one mary mare Kit four milch Cows and one old carriage
In Witness Whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my
seal this the thirtieth day of June 1858

State of Maryland Howard County to wit
Be it remember that on this the twenty third day of August eighteen
hundred and fifty eight before me the subscriber a Justice
of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for Howard County
personally appeared William B Willis and acknowledged the
above bill of sale to be his act and deed

County of Galveston      Be it remembered that on this 21st day of July
Eighteen hundred and fifty eight before me the subscriber Judge
of the County Court of Galveston County Texas personally appeared
Carver Willis and made Oath on the Holy Evangely
