County & state of Maryland as fully and amply as I myself
could act in such cases  Given under my hand and seal this
8 day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty nine
                                                          Samuel B Child   (seal)

The undersigned one of the Justices of the peace of the State
of Virginia for Alexandria County Certifies that on the
8th day of October in the year eighteen hundred and fifty
nine then came before me a person who being examined on
oath doth depose and say that his name is Samuel B childs
and that the foregoing Instrument is his act and deed
Given under my hand & Seal this 8th day of October 1859

State of Virginia Alexandria County to Wit:
       I Benjamin H Berry Clerk of the County Court of
Alexandria County in the State of virginia do certify
that Henry L Simpson esq whose genuine signature appears
to the foregoing certificate is now and was at the date
thereof a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid
duly commissioned and qualified
                      In Testimony Whereof I hereto subscribe my
       (Seals)    Name and affix the seal of said Court this
       (place)    15th day of October 1859 and in the 84th year
                      of the Commonwealth

 I Walter W. Berry of the City of Baltimore in the
state of maryland in consideration of the sum of
twelve hundred Dollars paid me by John T
Berry of Prince Georges County state aforesaid
of the said City of Baltimore do hereby bargain
                    and sell unto the said John T Berry the following property
                    two horses, two oxen, three cows, eight shoats, crop of oats
                    hay and straw, farming utensils on my farm in Howard
                    County state aforesaid.  And I covenant and will warrant
                    specially the property hereby granted
                             Witness my hand and seal this seventh day of october
                    in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine
