Shipley Joseph Alexander Lizear Joanna E.
Lizear and Sarah R. Lizear their heirs and assigns
forever and the said Catharine Lizear
for herself her heirs executors and administrators
doth hereby covenant promise
and agree to and with the said party of the
second part their heirs and assigns that
she the said Catharine Lizear and all persons
claiming under her all and singular the
said negro slaves servants live stock goods
chattels and personal effects and other the
premises unto the said margaret ann
shipley Joseph Alexander Lizear Joanna
E. Lizear and sarah Rebecca Lizear their
heirs and assigns against her the said
Catharine Lizear her executors and administrators
and against all and every
person or persons whatsoever claiming
in any manner shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents
In witness whereof the said Catharine
Lizear has hereto set her hand and seal on
the day and year first herein written
signed sealed and delivered              her
    in the presence of           Catharine x Lizear   (seal)

State of Maryland Howard County to wit:
    On this fourteenth day of April A. D. Eighteen
hundred and fifty five before me a justice
of the peace of the state of maryland in and
for Howard county personally appeared
Catharine Lizear she being known by me to
be the person who is named and described as
and professing to be the part of the first part to
the foregoing instrument of writing (and
whose proper signature is thereto subscribed)
and acknowledged the same to be her act and
deed.  In testimony whereof I hereunto
subscribe my name on the day and year
aforesaid                        Reuben Warfield
Received on the aforegoing instrument
of writing when presented for record one
dollar in lieu of stamp under the act of
1846 ch 61.                  W. H. Worthington clk
Received to be recorded on the 17.th day of April
