swear on any account; from the service of his
said master he shall not absent himself but
in all things and at all times he shall carry
and behave himself as a good and faithful
apprentice ought during the whole time
or term aforesaid.  And the said Nicholas J.
Barnett on his party doth hereby promise, covenant
and agree to teach and instruct the said
apprentice or cause him to be taught and
instructed in the art trade or calling of a
Farmer by the best way or means he can and
shall well and faithfully find and provide
for the said apprentice good and sufficient
meat, drink, clothing, lodging and
other necessaries fit for such an apprentice
during the term aforesaid and at the expiration
thereof shall give with the said
apprentice one good suit of sunday cloath.
In testimony whereof the said Robert Brown
and Nicholas J. Barnett have hereunto set their
hands and seals the day and year herein
first before written                              his

       Know all men by these presents
      that I Charles Pickett of Howard
    County in the state of maryland
  for and in consideration
of the sum of forty five dollars
                    and six cents current money to me in
                    hand paid by Benjamin Todd of Frederick
                    County and state aforesaid before the sealing
                    and delivery hereof the receipt of which
                    I do hereby acknowledge have granted
                    bargained sold and delivered and do hereby
                    grant bargain sell and deliver unto the
                    said Benjamin Todd all and singular the
                    following property to wit one black
                    and white cow one red and white cow
                    one white Heiffer one red and white Heiffer
