For a complete inventory of the Maryland Gazette collections (MSA SC 2853, SC 2731, SC 3403, SC 3428, and SC 3447) please see the Guide to Maryland Newspapers. The Maryland State Archives owns two microfilm collections containing images of the Maryland Gazette Collection from 1745-1839.  The first collection of Maryland Gazette microfilm was filmed by the Yale University Library between 1938 and 1940.  The Yale film, reels M1 through M25, is old and incomplete and the images are not very legible.  The second collection was filmed by Atlantic Microfilm Corporation in 1970, and comprises reel M1278 through M1291; the resulting images from this collection are much clearer than those found on the earlier reels.
