[Council to Winters.]
Sir.
We have lodged at Rock Hall 75 Bayonets, as we perceive
you are in want being disappointed in your supply from M^r
Hollingsworth. You will send us down immediately 25 of
the Musquets you have manufactured and fit the others with
Bayonets as soon as possible and convey them to the city
when ready.

Sir. It is the opinion of the Honorable Convention that if
your officers and men are willing to go into the continental
service, and you can compleat your Company, that commis-
sions shall issue accordingly, and the men be entitled to the
Bounty and Pay allowed by Congress.

Sir.
You are desired immediately to send the schooner Friend-
ship to Baltimore Town, and after completely fitting her
agreeable to contract, to deliver her up to M^r Jesse Hollings-
worth or his order, for the use of the State.

[Lux and Bowly to Council.]

Baltimore 23^rd October 1776.
Gentlemen. Cap^t Kilty applied to us yesterday for cord-
age to fit out the Ninety Two but we have met with such diffi-
culty in procuring Hemp to go on with the engagements we
are already under, that we cannot furnish him, unless you
think proper to take off so much as he may want, from the
quantity we are to furnish for the Gondolas &^c and then we
apprehend it will be impossible to get riging for them til next
summer.
Capt. Paterson called on us for some brimstone which we
delivered. We are Gent Your mo. Hble. Serv^ts
