     I A: B: doe sincerely promise and sweare that I will be Lib. C. B.

    faithful and beare true Allegeance to their Majties King Wil

    liam & Queen Mary. Soe helpe me God &Ca

       I A: B: do sweare that I doe from my heart abhorr, detest

    and abjure as impious & hereticall, that damnable doctrine &

    position, that Princes Excomunicated or deprived by the Pope

    or any Authority of the See of Rome may be deposed or Mur

    dered by their Subjects, or any other Power.

     And I doe declare that noe fforreign Prince, person, prelate,

    State or Potentate hath or ought to have any Jurisdiction,

    power, superiority or Authority Ecclesiasticall or spirituall

    within the Kingdome of England or the Dominions therevnto

    belonging,

                                 Soe help me God.

   

       The oath of Governr or CoFnander in Chiefe.

   

     I A: B: do sweare that I will be true and ffaithfull to their

    Majties King William and Queen Mary their heires and Suc

    cessors and their Rights and Royall Jurisdictions all and every

    of them in to and over this their Province of Maryland and

    the Islands therevnto belonging I will at all times defend &

    Maintain to the Utmost of my Power, and will never accept

    nor Execute any place, office or Imploymt within the said

    Province any way concerning or relateing to the Governmt of

    the said Province from any person or Authority but by from

    or Under a Lawfufl Authority derived or to be derived from

    time to time from their said Majties their heires and Successors

    I will faithfully serve their Majties as their Governr (or Comander

    in Chiefe) of the said Province and in all other Offices Coinit

    ted to my Charge by their Majties Comission or Comis

    sions to me (and will willingly yield vp the said Comission &

    Comissions again, and all Offices, powers and Authorities

    Granted or to be Granted by them or any of them into the

    hands of their Majties their heires and Successors or to such

    person or persons as they shall appoint whensoever they shall

    appoint me soe to doe and shall signifye the same vnto me,

    and will not presume to put in Execution, or attempt to Exe

    cute any office power or Authority Granted vnto me by any
