Journal.

The Comittee appoynted to Examine the printed Laws by
the originalls enter the house and their report being read,
Mr Bladen is ordered to be sent for. He enters the house
and Mr Speaker haveing acquainted him of the many Erata's
Comitted in printing the body of Laws. Therefore it was
required by the house tht he cause the Erata's to be fourthwith
printed and sent into the severall Countys. To which he
readyly concurred and promised to gett the same forthwith
printed and sent out and the further Consideration is referred
till the next Sessions of Assembly.
The Erata's found out by the said Comittee appoynted for
that purpose was delivered to Mr Bladen and is ordered to
withdraw.
Bill for laying impost of 3d p hhd &c: Engrossed sent up
to his Excy and Councill by Majr Edwd Dorsey and Mr Rich-
ard Tilghman with a message relateing to Laddemores peti-
con &c.
They returne and say they delivered the same.
The Honble James ffrisby and Robert Smith Esqrs enter the
house and deliver the Honble Speaker the bill for Impost of
3d p hhd &c. assented to by his Excy and Councill in Assembly.
The Comittee appointed for Stateing and examining the
publick Accounts enter the house and deliver a Journall of
their proceedings. Which being read was assented to by the
house of Dellegates and was sent up to his Excy and Councill
by Majr Thomas Smith and other the Gent of that Comittee.
They returne and say they Delivered the same.
The honble Thos Tench Esqr enters the house and Delivers
Mr Speaker the bill for apportioning the publick leavy, As-
sented to by his Excy and Councill &c:
Ordinance for building the prison as follo

By the house of Dell. May 17th 1701.

Resolved that Mr Wm Bladen by all convenient Speed build
and finish a prison after the same Dimensions as proposed at
an Assembly the 19th of Iuly 1699, to be well and substan-
tially built and finished on some Lott in the Towne of Anna-
polis as his Excy the Govr shall please to direct and to be paid
for the same when finished two hundred and forty pounds
Current money out of the publick stock of this province if his
Excy and Councill shall please to concurr therewith. And it
is ordered that Mr Samll Young and Mr Iames Saunders and
Mr John Dorsey be appointed to oversee and direct the build-
ing of the said prison according to the former afsd dimentions
agreed upon. Signed p order,
