in England I will wth the blessing of God as soon as it lyes in
my power assert the true Interest of this province to the
vtmost ability that is within the reach of him that is with all
obligacon

Bill prohibiting Wood Rangers &c Sent up to his Excy and
Councill by Mr Benja Hall and Mr Phillemon Lloyd.
They returne and say they delivered the bill
The Honble Collo Jno Hamond and Collo Edward Lloyd
enters the house and delivers Mr Speaker A Bill prohibiting
the abuses of Woods Rangers.
It is mooved by Mr Thomas Beale that whereas there was a
publick allowance made him in money Sterling and according
to order of this house he had a Draught on Mr Robert Mason
then Treasr for the Western Shore but forasmuch as the said
Treasurer died before the mony paid the said Mr Beale ap-
plyed himselfe to the Executrix of the said Mason for Sattisfac-
tion but she utterly denied alledging she had none of the pub-
lick Stock in her hands therefore pray'd releife
It is therefore Ordered that Mr Kenelm Cheseldyn and
George Muschamp Esq. inspect the publick acct of Mr Mason
and make reporte thereof if any Ball : soe that this house may
give Mr Beale Sattisfacon and releife
Reassumed his Excys Speech and his Sacred Matys Lre : for
supply of money for building a Fort in the Governmt of New
Yorke, and lyes now under debate of this house and Resolved
that three hundred pounds Sterling be remitted and it be Sig-
nified to his Excy by Message.
Majr Walter Smith moved this house that he might have
leave to go home being much indisposed. Which was by this
house granted him and he thereupon departed.
The house adjournes till Munday morning 7 a Clock

Dies Lunae 23d March 1701/2

The house mett and were called over, and prsent as on Sat-
urday only Majr Walter Smith absent haveing Liberty to goe
home.
Leiut Collo Thomas Smith taken sick, Mr Elisha Hall and
Mr John Hall enter the house not being prsent when called
over
The Peticon of Dall Yoes of Kent County thereby praying
an act for Sale of Mr Micha Milbourns Lands for paymt of his
debts was here read, and Resolved that for as much as the
