A Peticon of Mr Xpher Goodhand of Kent Island, Read
and in reguard it came into the house soe late it is
Resolved it be referred till the next Sessions.
The Peticon of Danl Canning Gatekeeper relateing to the
repaires of the Towne ffence. Was againe read and, Resolved
the same fence be repaired. And ordered that the said Can-
ning cause the same to be repaired for wch he shall be Satis-
fied at Laying the Leavy.
The Message and paragraph of the Lords Commrs of Trade
and plantacons Lre: Which his Excy to this house brought in
this day from the honble Councill was also read and
Ordered the same be againe read and answered to morrow
morning.
The peticon of Gerrard Sly of St Marys Coty merchant for
an allowance for a house &c burnt in Service in the time of
the revolucon was here read and debated.
And Resolved the same be wholly rejected.
Another peticon of the said Gerrard Slys wherein he prays
for redress that writt of restitution be awarded upon the
reversall of Judgement had before his Excy and Councill
wherein Erroneous Judgt was granted agt him in the provll
court upon an Indictmt at of his Majty &c Was alsoe read and
debated and is by the house Resolved it be rejected, foras-
much as he have releife at the Comon Law, and is referred
to the Court of appeales for restitucon if any of right belongs
to him.
And another peticon relateing to the Execution of one ffield
for Debt and costs. De novo Read, this house rejects the
same and referrs the peticoner to the Comon Law for his
reliefe.
Proposall relateing to the old records of Lands was reas-
sumed and ordered that such books of the Land Records that
are much worne and dampnified be brought into the house
for their prusall.
Which being brought downe by the clerk of the provll Court
the house prused them and findeing that some wants tran-
scribeing and others to be a new bound therefore resolved
that such books or some parte thereof as are most worne be
forthwith transcribed and others wanting may be a new bound
with good covers if to be had or made.
It was thereupon proposed to W Taylard clk: of the provll
Court whether he would undertake the same and satisfaction
therefore shalbe made him by the publick.
Wm Taylard being prsent in the house undertook to use his
endeavour for transcribing those land Records wch wants and
will endeavour to gett the other books new bound, Soe that
he be considered for wt shalbe done by the next fall to be
