Gent:
I being with Gods assistance bound for England I will
with the uttmost of my power serve you as effectually as I
cann in your business of New Yorke but I would not have
you to be mistaken to thinke that I am that considerable per-
son as to have the honor of his Matys Eare, But I will make
my application to that Honble Board the Lords Commrs of
Trade who under his Maty: are the patrons of the plantacons
and if their Lordsps shall Judge it necessary I shall represent
your case to his Maty by way of Memoriall or by what other
way or methods their Lops shall Judge most propper.
Gent : I am to returne you my uttmost acknowledgements
for yor generous donation beyond my hopes much more my
good Intentions of Serving you, are encouraged and the
favour is doubled by doeing it at a time when I am goeing to
leave you and believe me I am not linked to your Service by
interest but by a sincerity and a traine of obligacons.
What the Gent: of his Matys Councill have offered to your
consideracon about an agent I am ready to give you my Ser-
vice for the first yeare Gratis and if you thinke what they have
proposed to Exceed yor Inclinacon you shall make yor owne
termes for I am very ambitious to approve myselfe

Which being read in the house it is
Resolved that his Excy be desired to except the same upon
such termes. To which this house concurrs, and,
Ordered, that a Message be prepared and sent for that
purpose, which follows.

The message sent yesterday touching an Agent for this
province and the opinion of his Matys most honble Councill and
their proposall with his Excys kind and generous offer to assist
us therein has been read and Considered on and its
