262 Assembly Proceedings, Mar. 16, 1701/2-Mar. 25, 1702.

Journal.

Resolved by an vnanimous consent that his Excy be and is
hereby appointed Agent for this province upon the terms
proposed which wee thankfully accept the time to comence
from his Excys first arrivall in England.
Signed p order,
W Taylard Clk: house Dell.

And Resolved Nemine Contradicente that the Treasurer
of the Westerne Shore Imediately pay his Excy the Govr the
sume of two hundred pounds Sterling the Moyety of the
donation and that this Resolve shalbe his Warrant.
Ordered that the same be signed by the Clerk of the house
and sent up to the honble Councill.
Mr Wm Hutcheson and Mr Philip Lynes sent to the honbie
Councill with the Bill for Orphans Estates and a Coppy of
the above Resolve Signed p the clerke.
They returne and say they Delivered the same.
Bill for apporconing the Leavy Read the 1 and 2d time and
doe pass.
Mr Wm Harris, Mr Jacob Lockerman, Mr Saml Young, Majr
Jas Smallwood, Mr Benjn Hall and Mr Thomas Beale are sent
to his Excy and honoble Councill with the aforegoing Message
relateing to the agency and the Bill for apporconing the pub-
lick Leavy.
They returne and say they delivered the same.
From the honble Councill Collo Edward Loyd and Collo Wm
Holland enters the house and delivers Mr Speaker the follow-
ing Message with an address to his most sacred Maty: &c — ,
which Message follows vizt

By the Govr and Councill in Assembly, March 24th 1701/2

Gent: The address herewith proposed for your house to
joyne in to his Maty : if you shall think fitt with his Excy and
the members of this Board besides wch noe other matters of
Import will impede the conclusion of this Sessions
Signed by Order
W. Bladen Clk: Councill

Which being here read and the said Address signed by his
Excy and the honoble Councill this house concurrs therewith
and accordingly signed the same
The peticon of Doctor Mordecay Moore praying an allow-
ance of rebate upon imported negroes dead &c. Read and
rejected
Mr John Bosman a member of this for Somersett County
enters the house ond shewd that by means of the badness of
