                220 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1707.

         

         Lib. C. B. Land called Sheppards old Feilds: His Exncy and this Boarde

                will give them all the Lawfull Authority in their power to

                make the Said place a Towne and Endeavour to have it Con

                firmed by next Assembly.

             p. 79  The Lawyers being againe called before the board were

                askt if they had any further to Advise his Exncy and this

                boarde As to the Settling the Itenerant Iustices or any

                Objections to the proposalls last night agreed on. Say they

                have not.

                 Whereupon the boarde approving thereof Advise his Exncy

                to grant Comissions as proposed to be publish'd the next

                Provinciall Cort And hold the next Provinciall Court at

                Annapolis in September According to Adjournment the Terme

                in Aprill and the first Assizes in May next.

                 Mr George Muschamp Receiver of Potomack district made

                Oath to two Books Containing his whole Accounts of the

                Revenue Arising in that district.

                 Mr George Plater having very often sent his Servants and

                horses up to Town with publick Letters to his Exncy for

                Severall Years. The board taking Notice thereof Resolve he

                be gratified therefore. And Accordingly Ordered that he be

                paid fifteen pounds Sterling for those Services Since his

                Exncys Accession to this Government.

          

         

         

                   Att a Councill held at Annapolis

                       Saturday Iuly 19th 1707

                               Present

                 His Exncy the Governr Thomas Tench Esqr and Major

                Generall Iohn Hamond.

             p. 8o Aron Rawlings appearing before his Exncy in Councill Says

                he asking Sylvester Welch how he Came out of prison he told

                him he was Enforced to make all the friends he could to gett

                bayle.

                 Upon which Aron Rawlings Said he heard he was lett out

                upon Account of being the Queens Evidence And that Mrs

                Mahitabell Peirpoint acquainted him so. And that he under

                stood from Thomas Reading

                 Silvester Welch being called Says Richd Clarke did not

                meet him According to appointment.

                 The said Silvester Welch was told he must give ffresh Se

                curity for his appearance when called upon And had time to
