standing and that I will make true and fair entrys of the
Severall proceedings in the house and fair Journal thereof
returne into the Secretary's Office According to law.
So help me God.

Mr Thoms Greenfeild A member for prince Georges County
Mr Robt Gouldesborough of Talbott County Mr Thomas
Beale of St. Marys County enters the house And Mr Iohn
Taylor Mr Iohn Hudson and Mr Iohn Ennalls who had liberty
yesterday to take their ease being long on the Water alsoe
now enters the house and Orderd that Major Iames Small-
wood and Mr Samll Young attend his Excy and Councill to see
them take the oaths.
They returne and say they have seen them severally Sworne
And signe test and take the oath of Abjuration
Thereupon they tooke their place in the house. Produced
A transcript of the Rules and orders of this house Which
being read And signed Is ordered to be sett up in the same
for the members thereof upon all occasions to peruse
Mooved by A member of this house on behalfe of Mr Richard
Dallam and some other Clerks formerly employd that they
being capeable may againe be employd on the like services
Therefore orderd that Mr Richard Dallam and Mr Ino Col-
lins Attend as Clerks on the Comittee of Laws and likewise to
doe other Services of Writing as shall be by the house requird.
And likewise Mr Thomas Bordley is appointd Clerke of the
Comittee for Stating the publiq Accounts &ca
Resolv'd that Mr Iames Wooten Minister of St. Anns par-
rish be desired to read prayers morning and evening in the
house of Delegates.
Resolvd that George Valentine be continued in the Office
of Serjeant Attendant to this house And that he cause the
Drum to be beaten and hoist the flagg at the Usuall times
And likewise Resolvd that Moses Adney be and is by the
house appointed doorkeeper.
Moov'd by A member of the house whither it be not neces-
sary the foregoing officers be remind'd of their dutys
Thereupon Resolvd that George Vallentine and Moses
Adney be calld into the house, who appear'd and Mr Speaker
was pleasd to Acquaint them that the house had Continued
them in their Severall Offices Therefore Advis'd them that
forasmuch as they are privy to some proceedings in this house
not to devulge any the Secretts or debates thereof as they
would Answer it at their Perrills Which they promis'd Strictly
to observe & likewise the said Vallentine is put in minde of
keeping the Gate cleansing the towne ditch and keeping the
