Fryday Septr 8th 1704.

The house mett againe According to Adjournmt and being
called over were All present as Yesterday.
Read what was done Yesterday.
The mocon of last night relating to the conversion of Indians
now lyeing under debate of the house
Putt to the question whither the house shall proceed any
further at present upon this mocon or not
Resolvd in the negative
Moovd by a member what care shall be taken to regulate
the difference relating to the bounds of land betwixt the In-
habitants of this province and pensilvania.
Resolvd it be referrd to A further consideracon
Mrs Muschamp and Mr Beale orderd to Attend his Excy &
Councill to desire them to send to the house the papers re-
lating to the case of pensilvania.
They returne with the Afd papers and present them to Mr
Speaker.
Orderd the following message relating to the returne of
Somersett County Indentures be entred as follo

By the house of Delegates Septr 8. 1704

The Comittee of Election and priveleidges enters the house
& reports that upon reading the Indenture it appeard All four
Delegates therein appointed are duely Elected but the Sherriff
of Somersett County has not made any due and legall returne
thereof as by law he ought to doe.

Which the Comittee offers to the house for ther Consi-
deration.

Upon reading the aboue report of the Comittee the house
Concurr therewith that the members are duely Elected And
that the Sherriff has not done his duty that his failure is not
willfull or prejudiciall but only in A Deficiency in not returning
Separate Indentures for each person Therefore he is not lyable
to the penalty of the Act of Assembly but however wee pray
that he may be sumoned to Answer the neglect before his
Excy & Councill.

Which being read was sent up to his Excy and Councill by
by Mr Wm Watts and Mr Wm Aisquith.

They returne and say they deliverd their message.

Mr Samll Young Enters the house and reports that he has
treated with Mr Dallam About the purchase of parchment And
