make corne at such wages as to the said lustices Shall seem
reasonable.
21 That this Assembly would Consider whither it may not
be of publiq service to settle a publiq post on each side the
bay between Newcastle and Virginia.
22d That in the Act for Electing of delegates a Clause be
incerted to punish persons having no right to Vote that dis-
turb Elections And that the reasons may be enquired into
why St Mary's should send two Burgesses And if it were not
fitt to encourage this towne being the Seate of Gouernment
with that privileidg
23. And that All protested bills of Exchange should be
equall with Specialtys and to be recoverd by Action of debt.

Which being read It is resolvd the same be referrd to the
consideracon of a full house.
Moovd by A member of this house that the land records of
this province are much torne and Abused and lye at A very
loose rate and forasmuch as those records being the only
Securely Wee have for our reall Estates
Its therefore prayd they may be inspected and that further
care be taken of them for the future.
Thereupon orderd that Majr Ino Taylor Mr Sam" Young
Mr Thomas Frisby and Mr Iohn Leach repair to the land office
& view and Inspect the said records And reporte to the house
and what condition they are in And What methods may be
taken for there better Securely for the future
The house Adjournes till 2 A Clock afternoon

The house mett According to Adjournment and being Calld
over were All psent as in the morning.
The house now proceeds to reading his Excys Speech to this
house at first opening the Sessions.
Which being read and debated. It is Resolvd Nemine
Contradicente that the same be answer'd in Generall, And its
desird by the house that Mr Speaker and Mr Samll Young pre-
pare Answer to the same against to morrow morning.
The house now taking under consideration the severall
Articles of her Mats Instruccons laid before them this day.
1st Article for Raising Supplys to defray the publ charge &ca
Read and fully debated in the house.
Its Resolvd that what money has been raizd has been ap-
plyed and to be Applyed to help defray the publiq charge of
