such thing as beggers goeing from doore to doore for want of
employment Therefore noe Occasion of such work house as
proposed.
7^th That An Act do pass for reliefe of Credittors ag^t Bank-
rupts &c^a being read
Its referrd to the Comittee of laws to inspect the laws of
England and make their report to the house upon that Subject

9 Article As to making A law to confirme all proceedings
since Governo^r Blakiston till this time
Resolved A bill be drawne for that purpose.

To the honob W^m Dent Esq^r Speaker of the house of Dele-
gates & the rest of the worthy Members of this honob Assem-
bly convened at the port of Annapolis by his Ex^cy In^o Sey-
mour Esq^r her Maj^ts Capt. Gen^ll & Governo^r of this province
The humble peticon of Joseph Holt late Minister of W^m and
Mary parrish in S^t Marys county

Humbly Sheweth
That Whereas some complaints have been made to his Ex^cy
and the honob Councill of State which greatly reflect upon the
conduct of yo^r hono^rs peticoner perticulerly as he is A minister
of the Church of England, he is much concernd and greivd for
the same and especially that his Ex^cy has signified his dis-
pleasure soe highly against him as to declare him suspended
he thinks it his duty to apply himself to this honob house
hoping there to finde such a tender sence and compassion in
the hearts of All the honoble Members as will commisserate his
infelicitys And endeavour to Accomodate these unhappy
differences that can noe ways be composed but by his owne
submission to the censor of Authority which he humbly pre-
sumes to offer by your Hono^rs mediation that his Ex^cy would
vouchsafe to restore him to his former Dignitys
Which extraordinary favours shall Allways be most thank-
fully Acknowledged And that which Still will be more Grate-
full to ingenious Minds It shall lay an eternall obligacon upon
your unworthy peticoner to walke more circumspectly Ac-
cording to his holy profession
And When he reaps the fruits of such an Excellent favour
he shall not faile to returne all hearty thanks to your hono^rs
