134 Assembly Proceedings, Sept, 5—Oct. 3, 1704.

Wensday Septr 13th 1704.

The house mett againe and prsent as Yesterday
Read what was done Yesterday.
Moovd by A member of the house that there was some
Misunderstanding in debate of the peticon of Thomas Smith-
son Esqr thereupon againe read and debated.
And resolvd by the house the Resolve yesterday thereupon
be Confirmed.
The peticon of Mr Hale Mr Cockshute Mr Colebatch was
Againe read & orderd the peticoners enter the house. Who
appeare and upon some debate they were orderd to withdraw.
And the peticon being againe debated
Its Resolvd it be Wholly rejected.
The house now proceed to debate the other proposalls from
the honoble Councill.
19. Article relating to County leavys and Vestrys Accots
Read and this house concurrs therewith &
Orderd A bill be prepar'd for that purpose
20. That All freemen be oblidged to give a good Account
of themselves &ca Read &
Resolvd by the house that the laws all ready made are

Sufficient
21. Article relating to publiq posts &ca Read & debat'd Jts
considerd that the present Weight of business at this time
will not Admitt of A full consideration thereof
Therefore referrd to consideration of next Assembly.
22d Article relating to the members of the Citty of St
Mary's Read & debated.
And orderd that the Charter for that Citty of St Mary's be
laid before this house next Assembly and then further to be
considered.
Order'd by the house the foil message be sent up to his
Excy and Councill

By the house of Delegates Septr 13th 1704.

The members upon your invitation haue Attended your
Excy to View the Church and haue taken notice of the place
you are pleasd to be made for the burgesses and delegates
to sitt in And wee do very well approove of what your Excy
has done And hold our selvs oblidgd to returne you our hearty
thanks for your regard of us And for the care and trouble
you haue been pleas'd to take in that Affaire And wee desire
you to order A small doore to be cut over against the porch
by the pullpit to give Aire to the Church And when you see
