Maryland sst.
Att a Councill in Assembly begun & held at the Towne and
Port of Annapolis in Ann Arundell County in the Province
of Maryland the ffifteenth day of May in the fourth year of
her Majesty's Reign &c and there Continued untill the 25th
Day of the Same month on which sd 15th Day of May were
present
His Exncy the Governour &c

Col John Addison James Sanders Esqr
The Honble Coll John Hafnond Ken. Cheseldyne Esqr
Lt Col Wm Holland Col Thomas Enalls

This day being very nigh Spent and by Reason the Rainy
weather has so Long Continued many of the members of this
Board and the Speaker and many members of the house of
Dellegates not being yet arrived his Exncy is pleased to ask
the Advice of the Board if it might be proper to prorogue
them untill to morrow morning which was Resolved & a
Writt of Proroguation being Accordingly prepared under the
Great Seal the same was published by Beat of Drum by
which the General Assembly of this Province stands pro-
rogued untill the sixteenth Instant.

Col John Addison Lt Col Wm Holland
The Honble - Robert Smith Esqr James Sanders Esqr
Col John Hafnond Kenelm Cheseldyne Esq

His Exncy was pleased to Comunicate to the Board what he
Intended to say to the house of Dellegates upon the opening
of this present Sessions and desired their Advice what they
thought fitt to be omitted therein or Added thereunto.
To which the Several Gentlemen of the Councill say they
do think it very proper & Sufficient
Came Mr Gouldsborough and six other members of the
house to Acquaint his Exncy that the Greatest part of the
members of the house were mett at the Court house and had
