Edward Lloyd & William Coursey Esqrs from the Honble
Council enters the House and delivers the Eight several
ingross'd Bills, indorsed, Read & assented to by her Majesty's
Honble Council. And the Journal of Accounts with a Message
relating thereto ; which being read in the House was recom-
mended to the Comm. of Accounts to make some Amend-
ments in their Journal.
Bill for Banishment of Benjamin Celey sent up to the Council
by Mr Joseph Gray and Mr Thomas How for their Concurrence.
They return & say they delivered their Bill.
Bill for Relief of poor Prisoners, Read in the House the first
Time.

5 The Message Yesterday by Kenelm Chessildine & William
Coursey Esqrs was read and debated in the House & ordered
to be entered viz.

By the Council in Assembly May 23rd 1705
Your Answer this Day by Mr Frisby & others to our Pro-
posals on Monday last for the satisfying Persons employed by
his Excellency on Sundry Exigences is in Part well approved
of but the last Paragraph is so abstruse we must desire your
Explanation thereon Further we desire to know how & by
whom the Commissioners to be appointed to treat with the
Seneca Indians shall be furnished with Money or Credit to
bear their Charges on that Expedition and to purchase Presents
for the said Indians it being well known the French bidd as
largely for their affection as any.

Which being read & debated it's resolved the same be
answered by the following Message Viz.
By the House of Delegates May 24th 1705
May it Please your Honours.
As to your Message relating to the Seneca Indians the Chief
or Head Men of those five Nations of Indians with whom it is
proposed to treat they will come to Susquehanah River where
they may be treated with and as to Money to bear the Charge
of the Commissio.ners & to buy Presents for the Indians this
House will give Direction therein, to the Treasurers to issue
Money accordingly.
