Georges County for their Speaker. Who very modestly and
ingenuously prayed to be Excused from that Office alledging
his Inability to discharge that Trust and desired the Delegates
might proceed to make choice of a person more capable

Grant and thereupon the Delegates took leave & repaired to
their House And after some short Time came up again to the
Council Chamber And offered to the Honble Presidt that

House and Claimed to have their Votes allowed on the Elec-

Tyler refused to allow their Votes affirming the Speaker was
Chosen before they came to the House so that they were too
late To which they were answered by the honble President
that upon Mr Tyler's prayer the Delegates were directed to
repair to their House and consider of the Choice of their
Speaker Which not being done or the Speaker confirmed be-

will be but reasonable they should be admitted to their Votes.

to their House And this Board being made acquainted the sd
