By the Lower house of Assembly 11 July 1747
May it please Your honours You have had the Journal of Ac-
counts under Your Consideration for some Weeks we Expect a Con-
clusion of this Session to day and Realy have not Time to Enquire
into the Legality or equity of the whole of the Several Demands you
Desire by Your Message of this Day by the honourable Edmund
Jenings Esqr to be added to the Journal; as it now stands its very
Large, we assure you that all Legal and Rightfull Demands, from
the Publick shall be allowed by Us at our next meeting therefore
hope you will Pass the Journal herewith sent as it now stands

An Engrossed Bill from the Lower house by Messrs Harris &
Wilkinson Entituled an Act Reviving an Act Entituled for the
Speedy and Effectual Publication of the Laws of this Province and
for the Encouragement of Jonas Green of the City of Annapolis
Printer & to other Purposes therein mentioned Thus Subscribed
11 July 1747

The following Message is sent to the Lower house with the Jour-
nal of Accounts by Col Plater
By the Upper house of Assembly 11 July 1747
We have Considered Your Message sent with the Journal of
Accounts and do assure you of Our Earnestness to Comply with
you as far as can be Expected in Reason or Justice, therefore we are
willing to Referr the allowance of all the Articles mentioned in Our
Message to the next Session in a firm Expectation of having them
Satisfied Except such Articles as may Relate to a Reduction of the
Quantum of fees for such Services in the Chancellors and Secretarys
Accounts as the Publick is Beyond Dispute Chargeable with and
which may be Easily Distinguished by the Accounts Lodged with
the Clerk of Your Committee of Accounts.
