George Steuart Esq.re from the Upper House, delivers to M.r
Speaker the Bill, entitled, An Act for the Relief of Henry Gassaway,
thus indorsed; "By the Upper House of Assembly April 19.th 1774;
Read the first and second Time by an especial Order and will pass

Signed by Order James Brooks Cl. Up. Ho."

Which was read here and passed for ingrossing,
The House adjourns till 3 O'Clock

Post Meridiem
The House met.

The ingrossed Bills, N.o 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, were severally
read and assented to, and sent to the Upper House, with the Paper
Bills thereof, by M.r Veazy and M.r Ridgely.
Ordered, That M.r J. Hall and M.r Steele do acquaint his Ex-
cellency, that no further Business lays before this House.

John Ridout, Esq.re from the Upper House, delivers to M.r
Speaker the Paper Bills N.o 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, severally indorsed;
"By the Upper House of Assembly, April 19.th 1774: The ingrossed
Bill, whereof this is the Original, read and assented to.

Signed by Order James Brooks Cl. Up. Ho."

Philip Thomas Lee and Benjamin Ogle, Esq.res from the Upper
House, acquaint M.r Speaker, that the Governor requires the At-
tendance of the Members of this House immediately in the Upper
House.

M.r Speaker left the Chair, attended by the Members of the Lower
House, went to the Upper House, and there presented to his Ex-
cellency the following ingrossed Bills, Viz.t

N.o 3. An Act to repeal An Act against Ingrossers and Re

grators —

N.o 4. An Act for the Relief of Benjamin Harris of Frederick
County.

N.o 5. An Act for abolishing June County Courts.

N.o 6. An Act to repeal Part of An Act, to encourage the destroy-
ing of Wolves, Crows and Squirrels.

N.o 7. An Act for the Support of an Organist in King and
Queen Parish in Saint Mary's County.

N.o 8. An Act to empower the Justices of Somerset County, to
levy on the taxable Inhabitants of that Part of Stepney Parish which
lies in the said County, a Quantity of Tobacco for the Purposes
therein mentioned.

N.o 9. An Act for the building of a Parish Church in All Saints'
Parish in Calvert County.
