April 1707.
An Act reviving an * Act for speedy conveying Public letters and Packets of
    this Province, and defraying the Charge thereof; made at a Session of Assembly,

    begun and held at the Port of Annapolis, the Fifth Day of September 1704.

Ditto. An Act reviving a certain Act of Assembly of this province, entitled, An Act
    of Directions for the Sheriff's Office in this Province, and for the more easy
    Payment of the Public and County Levy; made at a Session of Assembly, begun

    and held at the Port of Annapolis, the Fifth Day of September 1704.  Lib.
    LL. N° 3. fol. 329.  EXP.

CHAP. XXIII.
Ditto. An ACT requiring the Agents of the Lord Baltimore to certify into
    the Secretary's Office, the Instructions and Conditions of Plantations,
    with the Fees by them demanded; and obliging his
    Lordship's Deputy-Surveyors to qualify themselves according to
    Law.  Lib. LL. ° 3. fol. 331.

Sterling.
BE it Enacted, by the Queen's most excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice
and Consent of her Majesty's Governor, Council, and Assembly of this 

Province, and the Authority of the same, That the lord Baltimore's Agents
for Granting Lands in this province, on or before the Fourteenth Day 
of May next, shall make, certify, and hang up, in the Secretary's Office, all
such Instructions that the said Officers or Agents of the said Right Honourable
the Lord Proprietary of this Province have from his Lordship, that
concern the People of this Province, and all the present Condition or Conditions
of Plantations; that all people may see and know by what Authority
they act.

    II.  And that they likewise prepare a List of what Fees they require for several
Services by them done, or to be done; which Fees shall be considered
of by two of her Majesty's Council, and by two or more Justices of the Provincial
Court, which Fees the said Councillors and Justices may lessen as they
see fit, and be allowed under the Hands of such Councillors and Justices, or
else it shall not be lawful for such his Lordship's Officers, Ministers, Agents,
or Clerks, to demand and receive them,  But when such Fees shall be allowed
and approved on as aforesaid, and such Officers, Agents,, Ministers and
Clerks, having made oath of such Services done, by which such Fees accrue,
may have their Fees levied by Way of Execution, as other Officers and Clerks
have, till the next Session of Assembly; and then such Fees shall by the Assembly
be allowed or denied, or altered or lessened, as the Assembly shall
think fit.

    III.   And if the said Agents and Officers refuse to make, hang up, and
publish such Instructions, Conditions and lists of Fees as aforesaid, within
the Time limited as aforesaid, he or they shall forfeit to her Majesty, for his
or their Neglect and Contempt, the Sum of Twenty Pounds Sterling Money;
one Half to her Majesty, for Support of Government, the other half to him
or them that will sue for the same, by Action of Debt, in her Majesty's Provincial
Court, wherein no Essoin, Protection, or Wager of law shall be allowed.
