1746.
At a Session of ASSEMBLY begun and held at the
    City of Annapolis, the 6th, and ended the 12th Day
    of November, in the 32d Year of the Dominion
    of the Right Honourable CHARLES, absolute Lord

    and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and
    Avalon, Lord Baron of Baltimore, &c. Annoq;
    Domini
1746:  The following Law was Enacted.
THOMAS BLADEN, Esq; Governor.

 
CHAP. X.
An Act for issuing and paying out of the Office of the Commissioners or Trustees for
    emitting Bills of Credit, established by Act of Assembly, the Sum of Nine Hundred

    Pounds Current Money, in Bills of Credit; as also for the Payment of Two
    Hundred Pounds Sterling Money, for purchasing Provisions for his Majesty's
    Forces raised in this Province, and other Purposes; and for continuing Part
    of an Act therein mentioned.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 353.
    N.B. 
By this Act, so much of the Act of 1746, ch. 1, as related to Ordinaries, &c. was
continued in Force from and after the Payment of the 4500 l. (by that Act granted) into the said
Office:  And also till the Sum of 900 l. hereby granted, should be fully paid into the Office unto
the Commissioners, and to the End of the next succeeding Session.

CHAP. I.
An Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco, for preventing Frauds in his Majesty's
    Customs, and for the Limitation of Officers Fees.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 357.
    EXP.
    To be in Force from the 1st December 1748, for 5 Years.  A new Inspection Law made
        1753, ch. 22.

 
Passed 11th
July 1747.
CHAP. II.
An Act for Trial of all Matters of Fact, in the several Counties where they have
    arisen or shall arise.  Lib.
B.L.C.  fol. 394.  EXP.
Ditto.
To be in Force till the 1st November 1749.

 
CHAP. III.
An ACT to remedy some Proceedings in the Court of Charles
   
County; and to prevent the Removal of the Records from the 
    Public Offices.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 400.
    N.B.  This Act was occasioned by the breaking out of a Fire in the House of Mr. Edmond
Porteous, Clerk of Charles County Court, which consumed the House, and several original
Papers in Causes depending n the Courts held in the Months of June, August and November 1746.
The Defects and Irregularities in the Proceedings, &c. occasioned thereby, are aided and supplied.
