LAWS OF MARYLAND.— 1825.

 

By 1829, ch. 208, sec. 3, the appointment of a provisional trustee, upon
his executing his bond, vests per se, all the effects of the insolvent in him.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act contained
shall be construed to prevent the appointment of any permanent
trustee for the benefit of the creditors of any insolvent debtor in
like manner as permanent trustees are now appointed.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That upon the appointment of any
permanent trustee it shall be the duty of the said provisional
trustee to execute a good and sufficient deed for the real and
personal estate of the said insolvent debtor, except as is herein
before provided, to the said permanent trustee, and to deliver
over to the said permanent trustee all the real and personal
estate of the said insolvent debtor, except as aforesaid, for the
benefit of his creditors.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That any thing in any other act
of assembly contained, which is inconsistent with the provi-
sions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. I . Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be the duty of the governor and council of this
state, on or before the first day of August next, to procure and
deliver to the levy courts of each of the several counties in this
state, a standard of each of the several kinds of weights and
measures used at the custom house in the city of Baltimore.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That so soon as the levy courts
of each of the counties in this state are furnished with the said
standards of weights and measures, it shall be their duty to
appoint, on or before the first day of May in each and every
year, some person as keeper of the standards of weights and
measures, whose duty it shall be, safely to keep and preserve
the same, and when required to deliver them to the said levy
court, or such person as the said court may appoint to receive
the same, and to perform the several duties prescribed by this
act ; and before they shall enter upon the duties of their ap-
pointment, they shall each give bond to the levy court of the
county for which they, or any of them, may be appointed, in the
penal sum of five hundred dollars, conditioned for the faithful
discharge of all the duties appertaining to their office.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all weights and measures
used within the several counties of this state, in the vending of
