are hereby further commanded to levy on the goods and chattels
of each delinquent and make sale thereof according to law.

185. And if the sums payable by any person named in such
tax list shall not be paid by him, or collected by virtue of said
warrant within the time therein limited, it shall be lawful for the
said trustees to renew such warrant in respect to such delin-
quent.

186. The said collector of city taxes, in the city of Annapolis,
shall be ex-officio collector of primary school taxes in and for dis-
trict No. 38 aforesaid, and every primary school tax which may
be voted in said district shall be collected by him, and his bond
shall be liable to an action for the use of the trustees of the
primary school district aforesaid, for such school tax, and a copy
of said bond, under the seal of the said city, (which the said
trustees shall have on demand without fee or charge,) shall be
sufficient evidence of the execution thereof.

187. The trustees of primary school district number twelve
and number forty-eight, may charge and collect from every
parent or guardian whom they deem of sufficient ability to pay
the same, a sum not exceeding one dollar per capita per month
for every pupil such parent or guardian may send to said school,
and may diminish or increase the same, according to the circum-
stances of the parent or guardian, but not to exceed the said sum
of one dollar.

188. The said trustees, before they levy any such capitation.
tax, shall give at least six days' notice by advertisements set up
at four of the most public places in said district, of their inten-
tion to levy such tax, and invite the parents or guardians of the
children in the district to meet and co-operate with them in their
object.

189. The capitation tax so levied and charged shall be due and
collectable by the trustees at the expiration of each month, and
for every pupil attending said school for one or more days in any
month, his parent or guardian shall bo chargeable with such tax,
