            LEVIN WINDER, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the trustees, or a majority of them, appointed by the said act, shall
meet for the first time on or before the first Wednesday of August
next, and qualify themselves for the office of trustees in the manner
prescribed by the original act, and any trustee who is prevented
from attending the said meeting may attend at any subsequent
meeting and qualify in the same manner.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the several provisions in the said
act shall be operative in the same manner as they would have been
in case the first meeting of the trustees had been at the time originally
directed.

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act for the valuation of the
    Real and Personal Property in the several Counties of this State,

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the register of the land office for the western shore shall be entitled
to receive thirty dollars for every year, and that the register of
the land office for the eastern shore shall be entitled to receive
twenty dollars for every year, for their services under the act to
which this is a supplement, and that the same be paid annually by
the treasurer of the respective shores, out of any unappropriated
money in the treasury.

                                        CHAP. VII.
An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Westminster General Meeting
            House, in Frederick County.

    WHEREAS sundry inhabitants of the town of Westminster, in
Frederick county, and its vicinity, have by their petition set forth
to the legislature, and they have purchased a lot of ground in the
said town, and have erected thereon a house for public worship,
and pray for an act of incorporation for the regulation and organization
of said house of worship; and it appearing reasonable
that the prayer of said petition be granted, therefore,
Preamble.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
Isaac Shriver, David Fisher, James McHaffie, Joshua Gist, Francis
Hollingsworth, James McCannon and William Durbin, sen.
from and immediately after the passing of this act, shall be and
they are hereby created a body politic and corporate, in deed and
in law, by the name, style and title, of The Trustees of the Westminster
General Meeting House, and that they the said trustees,
by the name aforesaid, and their successors, to be elected as herein
after mentioned, shall have a perpetual succession, and shall be
able and capable in law to purchase, take, have, hold, receive and
enjoy, to them and their successors, in fee simple, or for any lesser
estates, any property, real, personal or mixed, which by the constitution
and laws of this state may be acquired and held by any
religious society; Provided nevertheless, that such property shall
not exceed ten thousand dollars; and also that the said trustees, by
the name aforesaid, shall be able and capable in law to sue and be
sued, implead and be impleaded, in any court of law or equity, in
as full and effectual manner as any other person or persons, bodies
