                APPENDIX——RESOLUTIONS.

                                        No. 48.
    WHEREAS, it appearing to this general assembly, that the erection
of a light-house on the Bodkin Point in this state, would be of
great importance to the commerce of the United States, by rendering
the navigation of the Chesapeake Bay more secure, therefore,

Relative to building
a light house
on Bodkin Point.
    RESOLVED, That our senators and representatives in congress
be and they are hereby requested, to use their best endeavours to
procure a light-house, to be erected on the Bodkin Point in this
state.
    RESOLVED, That the governor be and he is hereby requested, to
transmit a copy of the above resolution to the senators and representatives
of this state in congress.

In favour of the
printer to the
state.
                                        No. 49.
    RESOLVED, That the printer to the state be allowed twenty days,
in addition to the time limited by law, for printing the laws and
votes and proceedings of the present session, and that the treasurer
of the western shore advance to him the sum of seven hundred
dollars, in part of the salary allowed him on the civil list for the
present year, upon his giving bond and security as required by the
law of December session 1816, ch. 98.

Relative to the auditor.
                                        No. 50.
    RESOLVED, That the governor be and he is hereby authorised
and empowered, to take the bond of the Auditor of the state, in the
penalty heretofore required, with such securities as he shall approve.

In favour of Jonathan 
Waters.
                                        No. 52.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore pay to Jonathan
Waters, a revolutionary soldier, in quarterly payments during
life, the half pay of a private.

Passed Feb. 19, 1819.
— of Thos. Turner.
                                        No. 53.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he
is hereby directed, to pay to Thomas Turner of Montgomery
county, or his order, annually, in quarterly payments, a sum of
money equal to the half pay of a private, for his services during
the revolutionary war.

— of Paul Minitree.
                                        No. 54.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is
hereby directed, to pay to Paul Minitree, an old soldier of Charles
county, or to his order, annually, in quarterly payments, a sum of
money equal to the half pay of a private, for his services during
the revolutionary war.

                                        No. 55.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is
hereby authorised and required, to pay to Joseph Hewitt, or to his
order, the half pay of a private, in quarterly payments during life.

— of Philemon
                                        No. 57.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he
is hereby directed, to pay to Philemon Griffith, and old revolutionary
officer, or to his order, annually, in quarterly payments, during
life, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a major.

— of John Head.
                                        No. 58.
    RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is
hereby directed, to pay, out of any unappropriated money in the
treasury, to John Head, an old revolutionary soldier, or his order
annually, in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half
pay of a private, as a further remuneration for his services.
