CHAPTER 259.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of
|
 
|
Anne Arundel county to open and widen the
|
 
|
county road leading from Hooversville on the
|
 
|
Washington branch of the Baltimore and Ohio
|
 
|
Railroad to Odenton on the Baltimore and Po-
|
 
|
tomac Railroad.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne
|
Authorized
|
Arundel county be and are hereby authorized, em-
|
empowered
and directed
|
powered and directed to appoint a commission,
|
 
|
whose duty it shall be to lay off, widen and straighten
|
 
|
the road leading from Hooversville on the Washing-
|
 
|
ton branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to
|
 
|
Odenton, on the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad,
|
 
|
so that the same will be of a uniform width of sixty
|
 
|
feet from said Hooversville to the county road lead-
|
 
|
ing from Cecil's Old Tavern to Elk Ridge Landing,
|
 
|
and of a uniform width of forty feet from said tavern
|
 
|
to Odenton clear of water tables and ditches.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
|
 
|
sioners are hereby authorized to levy on the assess-
|

one thousand dollars to pay the expenses of widen-

|
ing and straightening said road.

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
