Amendments to Maryland Constitutions

section shall be construed to prohibit the raising of
funds for the purpose of aiding or compensating in such
Manner or way as the General Assembly of the State shall
deem proper, those citizens of the State who have served,
with honor, their Country and State in time of War;
provided, however, that such action of the General
Assembly shall be effective only when submitted to and
approved by a vote of the people of the State at the
General Election next following the enactment of such
aforegoing section hereby proposed as an amendment to the
Constitution of Maryland, at the next general election to
be held in this State in November, 1976, shall be
submitted to the legal and qualified voters thereof for
their adoption or rejection in pursuance of directions
contained in Article XIV of the Constitution of this
State. At that general election, the vote on this
proposed amendment to the Constitution shall be by
ballot, and upon each ballot there shall be printed the
words "For the Constitutional Amendments" and "Against
the Constitutional Amendments," as now provided by law.
Immediately after the election, all returns shall be made
to the Governor of the vote for and against the proposed
amendment, as directed by Article XIV of the
Constitution, and further proceedings had in accordance
with Article XIV.

AN ACT concerning
Baltimore City - Pledge of Parking Revenue
for Revenue Bonds
FOR the purpose of adding a new section to the
Constitution to authorize the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore to pledge revenue derived from the
parking of motor vehicles for the payment of revenue
bonds issued in connection with parking facilities
to be owned by the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore and submitting this amendment to the
qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their
adoption or rejection.
