74 LAND OFFICE RECORDS

Liber 44—Debt Books 1756-61 Worcester County. Five books
bound together, each containing entries as above. The
1756 debt book has 198 pages, 1757-58 (designated on its
first page as being for 1756, 1757, 1758) has 203 pages,
1759 has 134 pages, 1760 has 69 pages, 1761 has 50 pages.
In all these books the entries are arranged alpha-
betically by names of rent-payers.

Liber 45—Debt Books 1759-1761-1764-1768-1769-1774 Somerset
County. Six books bound together, each containing en-
tries as above. The 1759 debt book has 141 pages, 1761
has 119 pages, 1764 has 56 pages, 1768 has 75 pages,
1769 has 81 pages, 1774 has 78 pages. In all these books
the entries are arranged alphabetically by names of
rent-payers.

Liber 46—Debt Books 1733-44 Talbot County. Three books, for
the years 1733,1738 and 1744, bound together, each con-
taining entries as above. The 1733 debt book has 118
pages, 1738 has 101 pages, 1744 (only a pencilled date
mark on this book) has 56 pages. No alphabetical
arrangement.

Liber 47-48—Debt Books 1739-48 Talbot County. Two books, for
the years 1739 and 1748, bound together. The volume
for 1739 is entitled "Abstract from Rent Roll to be re-
mark't and possessors of each Tract Charged" and is
not in the usual debt book form, the entries being listed
under the names of the tracts of land and alienations
noted as in a rent roll. It has 150 pages. The 1748 debt
book has 65 pages. No alphabetical arrangement.

Liber 49—Debt Books 1756-61 Talbot County. Four books for the
above-mentioned years excepting 1760, bound together,
each containing entries as above. The debt book labelled
"1756" has no authentic date mark and is apparently of
a later date, possibly 1760. It has 91 pages. The 1757-
58 debt book has "17,56,1757,1758" marked on its cover.
It has 64 pages. The 1759 debt book has 72 pages and
the 1761 debt book has 106 pages. In all these books
the entries are arranged alphabetically by names of
rent-payers.

Liber 50—Debt Books 1766-72 Talbot County. Six books for the
above years excepting 1767, bound together, each con-
taining entries as above. The debt book for 1766 has
82 pages, 1768 has 85 pages, 1769 has 73 pages plus a few
additional rent roll entries, 1770 has 54 pages, 1771 has
65 pages, 1772 has 72 pages. All these books have the
