1718; he released the 300 acres under his control
to his nephew in 1721. WEALTH AT DEATH. DIED:
between May 14, 1721, and January 26, 1721/22,
in Kent County. PERSONAL PROPERTY: TEV,
£3,183.12.5 current money (including 30 slaves, 6
servants, 24 books, and 1 sloop); FB, £2,269.0.5.

HYNSON (HINSON), THOMAS (1620-ca
1667/68). BORN: in 1620, probably in England.
IMMIGRATED: in 1651 as a free adult with his wife
and children from Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: in Virginia by 1646. RE-
SIDED: in Kent County. MARRIED Grace. CHIL-
DREN. SONS: John Hynson (?-1705), who married
first, by 1670 Rachel, and second, ca. 1693 Ann,
widow of Jonathan Grafton; Thomas (?-1679), a
sheriff of Talbot County in 1666, who married
Ann Gaines; and Charles Hynson (1663-1711),
who married in 1686/87 Margaret, daughter of
William Harris (ca. 1644-1712). DAUGHTERS:

ond, Joseph Wickes (ca. 1620-1692), and third, St.

supported Fendall's Rebellion in 1659/60-1660,
for which he was fined 2,000 pounds of tobacco
and barred from office for seven years in 1661.
