At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, i
and held at the City of Annapolis, on the last Mo
of December, being the twenty-fifth day of the said
month, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and twenty-six, and ended the thirteenth day of
March in the year one thousand eight hundred and twen-
ty-seven,

THE FOLLOWING LAWS WERE ENACTED, TO WIT:

CHAPTER I.
An Act to change the name of James Tolly Howard, of Harford County,
to that of James Walter Tolly.

1826.

CHAPTER 1.
Passed Jan 1, 1827

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of James Tolly Howard, of Harford county,
be altered and changed, and the same is hereby altered and
changed to James Walter Tolly.

CHAP. II.
An Act to alter the time for the transaction of Equity business in the Coun-
ty Courts of the first Judicial District.

Passed Jan 5, 1827

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act, entitled, "An act setting apart the three first days
of the county courts of the first judicial district for the trans-
action of equity business, " he and the same is hereby repealed.

2. And be it enacted, That from and after the passage of
this act, it shall be the duty of the judges of the first judicial
district, to set apart the three last days in each and every term
thereafter, if so much time should be necessary, for the hearing
and deciding of causes pending on the equity side of the coun-
ty courts in that district.

An Act to change the name of John Cullember, and of Ann his wife, and of
Mary Ann, bis daughter, of Calvert County, to the name of John Wil-
liams, Ann Williams, and Mary Ann Williams.

WHEREAS John Cullember, of Calvert county, hath set forth
by his petition, that he was born out of wedlock, and that his
mother Mary Cullember, is since dead, and that he hath since
assumed the name of Williams, and bath married, and hath a
