WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. 100, approved October 7, 1892,

1892, and passed in pursuance of chapter 138 of the Acts of
Assembly of 1892, the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore:
appropriated the sum of one million seven hundred and fifty
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be required, of
the proceeds of the sale of the registered bonds of the city of
Baltimore, for the purchase of the ground and the erection
thereon, and the proper furnishing of, a new court house and
record office in the city of Baltimore ; and
WHEREAS, Said ordinance, in accordance with the terms

ted to the legal voters of the city of Baltimore for their
approval or disapproval at the general election held on the 8th
day of November, 1892 ; and

cast at said election ; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

hereby ratified and confirmed, and all acts which have been
done or may hereafter be done under and in accordance with
said ordinance looking to the issue of said bonds and the expen-
diture of the proceeds of the sale thereof for the purposes set
out in said ordinance, shall have the same force and effect as if
the said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, prior to the
passage of said ordinance had been expressly empowered by
an Act of the General Assembly to enact an ordinance in the
precise terms of said ordinance.

Ratified and
confirmed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
Approved April 9, 1898.

CHAPTER 362.
AN ACT to enable the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to appropriate a sum or sums of money, annually, for the use
and benefit of the "Hospital for Consumptives of Mary-
land " of Baltimore City.
